How full of hope were the youth of the Baby Boom generation, shouting and running beneath clear white clouds? (Oh Youth! Oh Greenery! Let's run!!) From "Clouds and Me" at the legendary Beach Song Festival in 1978 until his retirement in 1991, Koo Chang-mo — the "Prince of 70s and 80s Vocals" — left behind moments that set hearts ablaze and carved a luminous path through music history. The core of the landmark songs that elevated Songolmae to band-legend status — "The Day We Met by Chance," "I Will Love You All," and "The Moment I First Saw You" — rests on his electrifying, thrilling vocals, powering the band from both the forefront and the background. From the moment he joined Songolmae, the band entered its golden age.

Even after stepping away from music to pursue business, his name remained a constant in "Singers of Our Time" surveys for years. His beautiful voice, exceptional command of tone and energy, rhythmic flexibility, and the effortless ability to soar in the upper register — as heard on "Once Again" from his second album — made him fully deserving of the title "vocal actor." He merged two opposing poles — wild, frenetic rock vocals and composed, heartfelt ballad delivery; rough courage and razor-sharp sorrow — into a single unified voice.

That gentler expressive range deepened during his solo career, as his focus shifted from rock to pop. Songs like "Hinari," "Mature as Much as It Hurts," and "Lonely, Lonely" showcase his gift for conveying a poignant yet grounded tone. From that point on, his music resonated not just with young listeners but with adults too. He was equally gifted as a composer, crafting numerous era-defining songs — from "A Song Far Away," a 1984 hit by Lee Seung-jae later revived by the late Lee Sun-kyun in My Mister, to Songolmae's "The Day We Met by Chance," which alone establishes him as a great songwriter.

The album's title track, "The One I Met Again," is a homage sequel to "The Day We Met by Chance" and marks his return after 36 years, featuring two new compositions. Carried by rolling funk rhythms, it brims with the structured yet untamed energy that defines his artistry across every genre. The second new track, "Lover of the Earth," takes a surprising turn into a CCM operatic style — a testament to his unpredictable, free-spirited musical sensibility. At its core, his musical world is one of passion and open-armed inclusiveness, born from creative freedom.

That enduring forward momentum continues to earn deep listener trust. What unifies his new songs and his catalog of hits is an abiding sense of youth — it is youth that animates the album's title Memory, and youth that lies at the heart of the Future he envisions. He is, genuinely, still young. We have longed for Koo Chang-mo for a very long time. His return with new music is cause for genuine joy.

LP Purchase Notes

Jacket / Contents / Packaging

• Minor jacket creases, corner dents, or surface cracks that do not affect playback are not eligible for return or exchange.
• The inner sleeve may develop cracks from contact with the disc; this is considered normal and is not grounds for return or exchange.
• Disc labels may not adhere perfectly due to the manufacturing process.
• Damage to outer shrink wrap that does not affect the product itself is not eligible for return or exchange.

Playback

• All-in-one turntables without tonearm weight adjustment may cause skipping on tracks with wide dynamic range due to a lightweight tonearm. Playback issues resulting from device limitations are not eligible for return or exchange; use of an adjustable-tonearm turntable is recommended.
• Static electricity and dust can interfere with playback; using a dedicated cleaning product typically resolves this.
• Dust accumulation on the stylus needle may also cause uneven playback.

Disc Condition

• Minor surface unevenness or warping may occur; returns or exchanges are only accepted if playback is affected.
• In some cases, the center hole is manufactured slightly smaller to minimize distortion and maintain consistent playback. If it does not fit your turntable spindle, a dedicated center-hole adjustment tool can resolve the issue.
• Faint surface marks or minor finish imperfections may be present; returns or exchanges are only accepted if playback is affected.

Color Discs

• Actual disc color may differ from online images.
• Color variation between individual units may occur during the manufacturing process.
• Small dots or traces of other color dyes may be visible on the disc surface as a result of production.

Exchange / Return

• For requests due to clear manufacturing defects, please contact customer support with photos, video evidence of the defect, and the model name of your playback device.
• Due to the high risk of jacket damage during repeated shipping and the difficulty of reselling LPs, returns due to accidental purchase or change of mind are not accepted. Please purchase carefully.
